Criterion Games, a studio of Electronic Arts today announced the release of a Limited Edition of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit ™, the most anticipated arcade racing game for next winter. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit bring the intensity of competition between police officers and pilots to the generation of the Internet. The limited edition will feature six of the fastest cars in the world, players can now use to race and chase their friends. Available from dealers at the same price as the standard, the Limited Edition will offer an even higher speed fanatics, while supplies last.

The limited edition of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit includes six exotic cars: Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Ford Shelby GT500, Audi RS TT Coupe, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Porsche Cayman S and Dodge Challenger SRT8. The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and the Ford Shelby GT500 is available only with the limited edition and you will not get in any other way. Players who were to lose the opportunity to grab a Limited Edition will still be able to unlock the Audi TT RS coupe, the Chevrolet Camaro SS, the Porsche Cayman S and the Dodge Challenger SRT8 level up in the game.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit recently won the prestigious award for “Best Racing Game” Game Critics Awards for the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The release is scheduled for November 16, 2010 in North America and 18 and November 19, 2010 in Europe on Xbox 360 ®, PlayStation ® 3 and PC. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will also be available on Wii ™, being developed at Exient.
